Ainsworth District Community Health Walk 0161 253 6396

Tuesdays at 13:00:00

Minimum age 16

Inclusive Session

Any Gender

Starting outside the Duke William Public House, this circular walk takes in the pleasant countryside around Ainsworth, past woodland & farmland with some lovely views to be had along the way. There are a few alternative walking routes mainly along good paths and level ground, however most routes do include crossing one or more footpath stiles, which may be challenging for anyone with limited mobility or poor balance. Some routes include a visit to the local Garden Centre Café, where walkers can choose to purchase a drink or light refreshment before heading back to the Duke William where the walk ends. Strong sturdy footwear is recommended. Health walks are free local walks designed to help people become more active. They offer a safe, relaxed and sociable environment in which to walk. Each walk is led by trained volunteers and are 45 minutes to an hour in length. Health walks are perfect for those who would like to become more active or perhaps lack the confidence and knowledge about where to walk. This walk is arranged by Bury Council Sport & Physical Activity Service – for more information see https://tradedservices.bury.gov.uk/index.aspx?articleid=13392.
