BEATS Community Health Walk (LONGER) 0161 234 5352

Fridays at 10:30:00

Minimum age 16

Inclusive Session

Any Gender

This 3-mile circular walk follows the same route as the 1-mile route up until the footbridge, where it then crosses the River Irwell and heads into Burrs Country Park, following the River to the Activity Centre, where walkers can enjoy a tea or coffee before heading back to Castle Leisure Centre. These walks are mainly on level ground, although the footpath alongside the river may be a little muddy at times and sturdy footwear is recommended. Health walks are free local walks designed to help people become more active. They offer a safe, relaxed and sociable environment in which to walk. Each walk is led by trained volunteers and are 45 minutes to an hour in length. Health walks are perfect for those who would like to become more active or perhaps lack the confidence and knowledge about where to walk. This walk is arranged by Bury Council Sport & Physical Activity Service – for more information see https://tradedservices.bury.gov.uk/index.aspx?articleid=13392.
