Tuesdays at 10:30:00

Minimum age 16

Inclusive Session

Any Gender

Starting at the top car park at the hospice we join Castle Hill Road & head up towards the Church Inn. This is a quiet area of countryside, flanked by green fields occupied by horses. We make our way towards the Pavilion residential community & Restaurant on Elbut Lane, then take a pleasant walk around the Lodge where there are birds, ducks & swans nesting at certain times of the year. Please note, the walk around the lodge can be muddy during wet weather & appropriate footwear is recommended. This walk is mainly on level ground. Light refreshments can be enjoyed at the hospice following the walk & sandwiches & salads may be available if ordered before the walk begins. Health walks are free local walks designed to help people become more active. They offer a safe, relaxed and sociable environment in which to walk. Each walk is led by trained volunteers and are 45 minutes to an hour in length. Health walks are perfect for those who would like to become more active or perhaps lack the confidence and knowledge about where to walk. This walk is arranged by Bury Council Sport & Physical Activity Service – for more information see https://tradedservices.bury.gov.uk/index.aspx?articleid=13392.
