Minimum age 16

Inclusive Session

Any Gender

This walk starts and finishes at Boundary House Medical Centre and is approximately 2-4km, making it successful for people of all ages and abilities. The group walk several routes on a regular basis, each with a shorter or slightly longer option. Common places to walk include the local residential area, Walkden Gardens, Sale Water Park and Wythenshawe Park. Please let our Walk Champion know which distance you would prefer at the start of the walk. All new walkers will be asked to complete a brief registration form. For more information, please speak to a member of staff at the surgery. Walks are led by trained volunteers who are supported by City of Trees. This walk is organised by Walk for Health – Trafford, which is an organisation run by local volunteers, in partnership with Walking for Health, Trafford CCG, Public Health Trafford and Sale Sports Club. Our walks are promoted by local surgeries, but anyone can join in: you don’t have to have a specific health problem and it doesn’t matter what size, shape or age you are! Our wellbeing walks range from 45 - 90 mins and are suitable both for those wishing to start walking, or those wanting to improve their fitness, meet new people and discover open spaces in their local area. All walks are led by a trained Walk Leader, who will discuss any individual needs at the start of the walk, and plan support as necessary. For more information see
